Public Records Central is an informational directory. We explain how and where to obtain public records from official government sources, organized by state, county, and record type, and we link you to those official sources. We are not a government agency, and we do not create, hold, or issue public records ourselves.

Public Records Central is not a consumer reporting agency as defined by the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA), 15 U.S.C. § 1681 et seq. The information available through the Site is not a “consumer report” and may not be used, in whole or in part, to determine a person’s eligibility for credit, insurance, employment, housing or tenant screening, or for any other purpose covered by the FCRA or any similar law. You agree that you will not use the Site or any information found through it for any such purpose.

Record availability, fees, processing times, and procedures are set and controlled by the respective government agencies and third-party services, not by us, and can change without notice. We work to keep the directory accurate and up to date, but we do not warrant that any listing, link, fee, or description is complete, current, or error-free. Always confirm details with the official source.

The Site links to government agencies and third-party services that we do not operate or control. We are not responsible for the content, availability, accuracy, fees, or practices of those sites, and your use of them is subject to their own terms and policies.

You agree not to:

• use the Site for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these Terms;
• use the Site or its information for any FCRA-covered or otherwise prohibited purpose;
• scrape, harvest, or systematically extract the Site’s content, or attempt to disrupt or gain unauthorized access to the Site or its systems; or

The Site’s design, text, and organization are owned by Public Records Central or its licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. Underlying public records and government materials remain subject to the terms of their respective sources.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Public Records Central and its operators will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss arising out of your use of — or inability to use — the Site or any third-party site or service linked from it.

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Public Records Central and its operators from any claims, damages, or expenses arising out of your use of the Site or your violation of these Terms.

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above. Your continued use of the Site after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state in which the operator of Public Records Central is established, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located there.
